LG DoublePlay: Dual-Screen, Split-Keyboard
This post brought to you by LG DoublePlay™. All opinions are 100% mine.
LG officially announced LG DoublePlay™, a unique Android 2.3 handset with dual touchscreens and split QWERTY. Here's the scoop: the DoublePlay's powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and offers a 5MP rear-facing camera capable of capturing 720p HD video.
Other features include:
- multi-tasking abilities to surf the net, update facebook, check email, and/or text all at the same time!
- 5 mega pixel camera with LED Flash
- 720p HD video recorder
- many texting options including Cloud Text or Group Texting
- Access to Android Market and Apps
- Dual capacitive touch screens for multi-taskers and social networkers like me!
Personally, I spend a lot of time messaging and on social networking. And if I had this amazing piece of hardware, it would have surely made my life smooth. It would also be an interesting way to communicate with all my relatives and with no discomfort of writing text on touch screen as keyboard is there too..!
I'd love for y'all to leave comments and let me know how many hours y'all spend texting, engaging via your social networks, and if you think a phone such as this would be useful for you.

A lot can happen over a coffee: A Love story
“Love you too my sweetheart” she said holding my hand.
I was getting lost in her eyes and a song started to play in the background,
Oops wrong timing. No One’s gone anywhere Its just enrique’s song from set as my ringtone. What a vociferous mum n three snoozed alarm couldn’t do, a ringing mobile did pretty well in the realm of waking up the prince from his slumber. It was a dream. Damn…!!!
With one eye closed and the other too half open, looked at the mobile screen to see an unknown number calling. Somehow against my inner motivation to reject the call, managed to pick up just to see who was the lucky chap to get into my hit list today?
The only thing that could give you more warmth than a quilt in the great Delhi winter is a girl in your arms. And I certainly wasn’t having one. So I needed some payback.
Surprisingly a girl from other side spoke
“Hello, is it Ashu?”
“Yes .Whose it?”
“Gud morning Ashu. Snigdha this side.”
“Sorry I don’t want any credit cards, I told you . I just love it as cash. No cards please.”
“Excuse me??” she said perplexed..
“What? Don’t you people at the bank sleep? And why disturb people at such early hours?”
“Do you even realize whom you are talking to weirdo? I am snigdha, sonakshi’s friend. Remember sonakshi?” she said agitated.
SONAKSHI. That was the name that brought me back to my senses.
“I am really sorry. Actually I was half asleep. Moreover a girl with similar name as yours has been pestering me with credit card offers for last two days . So…..”, I lied.
‘It’s okay” she replied
“So what made you call me such early, everything fine??” I asked..
“Yup almost.”
“Almost ??”
“Tell me something. Are you free today??” She asked.
“Sort of. But why?” I replied.
That “sort of “meant, I had to to drop my sis to school, then have a 3 hour tuition, had to go shopping with mum for cousin’s wedding, had to attend a friend’s birthday party, etc etc etc.
“Can you come to meet us today?”
“What happened??”
Next voice from other side was Sonakshi herself.
As a matter of fact, sonakshi is a school friend of mine, a very close friend I must say. And in my confession mode I would say, I sort of liked her, in reticence though. Just couldn’t ever gather the courage to tell her. Her astonishing charm and entice always stood in the way. She was a sure shot 8 pointer on our “Rate-The-Looks” scale (her highness Katrina Kaif being the benchmark with 10 on 10). And me, being modest would say, could manage to get passing marks if the observer was lenient. However strong and true your feelings might be for your special one but in the end looks do matter.
“HI Ashu..”, sonakshi spoke in case u forget where we were.
“Hey, how are you?? Everything fine dear??” I asked
“Can you come to meet me today?”
A question in reply to a question meant something was wrong. She sounded low. Her usual sweet voice had a tone of sadness in it. Audible sobs followed after every two words.
“What happened??” I enquired.
Snigdha snatched away the phone from her.
“Are you coming??” Again a question in reply to a question. Girls. I tell you, they would never give you the answers.
“Yes, of course. But for heaven sake tell me what happened??”
“Meet us at Rajiv Chowk metro station at 8.30 .Will tell you everything there”
“But…But….but..” and she hung up. Can't these girls listen to us, just for once?

God's hidden blessings
The Grocery Store
- By Juliann
On a recent visit to the grocery store, as my friend Kristin and I were walking through the parking lot, a grocery cart full of bagged groceries came rolling away from the store and into the parking lot, heading straight towards us. I suppose we could've just taken it to the car, considered it a gift, and cooked dinner with whatever that kind soul had happened to purchase. But then the kind soul would've had no dinner, so we pushed the cart back towards to store, looking in all directions for a potential owner. The only person in sight was standing with his back to us, totally absorbed in obtaining a free pizza sample from the pizza sample guy standing on the curb. We parked the cart behind him, went on to get our own free pizza samples, and watched as he finished his pizza, turned around, and pushed his cart away as if nothing had happened. He had no idea that two random girls had saved all of his groceries from rolling away into oblivion.
You know, I'm pretty sure God does something like that for me at least five times every day. And I usually just keep eating my pizza, totally oblivious of the gratitude I owe Him.

Untitled Jersey City Project
This post brought to you by Untitled Jersey City Project. All opinions are 100% mine.
An exciting new concept in the area of entertainment is on the horizon in the form of a work-in-progress television drama. The Untitled Jersey City Project will encompass themes that will be very familiar to the aspiring business urbanite as they witness ten characters maneuver their way through politics and questionable business ties. Each seeks to gain money, fame, and power in a new Jersey City development, built just across the river from Manhattan.
The mini-series will consist of eight short-form episodes featuring these ambitious characters with many of the story threads left unresolved. The intention is to tie the fragmented episodes into a much bigger story. Previews for the Untitled Jersey City Project are showing on FX Network now and what’s more exciting is that the viewer can take part in the creative process of the show by submitting a title and story ideas. So far it has created quite a hype and it would be interesting to see how this upcoming short series shapes up.
What do you think? Did you get to catch the trailer yet?? Learn more about the Untitled Jersey City Project at FX Networks and give us your reviews in our comments section.
Catch here a sneak peak of the 'Untitled Jersey City Project' and tell us what do you think??

All those space videos we see over and over in movies fills us with awe and wonder what lies there?? Does someone else exist there apart from us, humans?? How it could look so soothing and so smashing all at one time?
We all would love to get answers to that someday but have you ever wonder sending your cell into the space to catch a glimpse of space for yourself?? Crazy?? Well in this video, the person does send his iPhone 4S in space. And the result is just awesome. Is it another advertisement for iPhone? or a tribute to Steve Jobs?? See it for yourself..!

The F word
The reasons for the famine in the Horn of Africa are complex and solutions are difficult, especially in Somalia, but we can’t lose sight of some simple facts:
1. 30,000 children have died in just 3 months. Thirty thousand. With over 12 million people at risk.
2. Famine is not a natural catastrophe – drought doesn’t have to lead to famine. It can be prevented, as we’ve seen in much of Kenya and Ethiopia.
In the 21st century, it’s an obscenity that people are dying because they can’t get enough food to eat. Every one of those 30,000 children is part of a family – a son, a daughter, sister or brother. We can’t imagine what it must be like to starve to death, but most of us know what it’s like to lose someone we love.
Please watch the film and make use of the voice you have -- sign the petition.
http://act.one.org/sign/hungry_no_more/?referring_akid=.1570976.pt5DLL
It will make a difference in putting pressure on world leaders to do more to help those in need right now, and live up to promises already made to invest in the things proven to work – early warning systems...irrigation...drought resistant seeds… and of course, peace and security.

What do you mean, Audi??
The road is not exactly a place of intelligence. You read about it. You hear about it in the news. You witness it every day on your commute. Which is exactly why Audi engineered the highly intelligent new Audi A6 - built to combat whatever "genius-ness" the road throws its way. These spots shed some light on the current state of our unintelligent roads and drivers, offering up the A6, a car that makes 2,000 decisions a second, as a solution.
So, how does that make a better driver, audi?? Or how does that would reduce road accidents??

MovieL Limitless
If there is something limitless in here then it's the entertainment quality. Neil Burger gave a lot of style and ridiculousness in this film. The editing was quite fast and fun. The zooming in through places is amazing. The soundtrack and the music score does perfectly fit in every scene. The performances were good. Bradley Cooper is an entertaining actor but he had some weaknesses in serious scenes like crying or being scared. Robert De Niro only shows up in times but you know him, he is just being himself and there is nothing wrong with that.
Overall the movie is ridiculously fun. The movie is no cliché, it's all unique by so many reasons including the trippy, vertigo, and zooming in style. It's intriguing, it's fast, and it's smart at times. "Limitless

Your Life Begins When You Do
Listen hard. Laugh.
Play with abandon.
Practice wellness.
Continue to learn.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Lead or follow a leader.
Do what you love. Live as
if this is all there is No Tomorrow...
Nearly everyone postpones one grand thing or a collection of mighty hopes and dreams. Between the quote marks of our lives are phrases like these: "When things slow down...when I finish my degree...when I get certified...as I acquire a deeper knowledge base...when I have kids...when the kids are grown...when I get well...when I marry...when I divorce...when I retire...when I get that promotion, that raise, that job, that house, that whatever the fill-in-the blank is for your specific postponing of life..."
Your Life Begins When You Do.
You may think you are postponing the longing of your soul until life aligns itself with your vision, until elements conspire to be more favorable...but as it happens, life just lolls along at the same remarkable consistent and disinterested cadence. Life is impartial. YOUR personal, subjective life (dreams, satisfactions, contentment, achievements, vision, fullness, passion, aspirations) begins when you begin.
We always say, I want to be this or I want to be that and keep on saying it all our life. All we need to do is change it a little, and just say, I am this. I am an artist. I am an actor. I am an athlete. And trust me, your whole perspective towards life would change. You would be able to see the entire path laid for you. This is nothing but a path that you have been plodding all along while saying I want to be this, and now when you have accepted yourself as that person, you could see the path. Its all in your head.
So go on and start living, as life starts when you start living...

AIDS: The untold story (Repost)
The alarm tore apart the silence in the room; starting off smoothly, slowly and steadily gaining pace and sound. The shade of a hand, rose in the darkness and started crawling in the surface; searching for something and in a few seconds it got hold of the alarm clock and killed the already loud tone. Hesitantly a figure rose on its knees, it was that of a nicely built man; he looked all around in the dim light, as if searching for something and switched on the lights by the bed side. The room was not as messed up as a young man’s, a bachelor’s room. There were quite a lot of books in the table and some clothes hung on his chair, the shelf was closed down and the room was pretty empty but for the table, the mattress, the study table and chair.
He opened the laptop lid and starred to the background wallpaper for a few seconds and opened the VOIP calling software in his laptop, and dialed a number from the contacts.

Have Feet, Will Dance...
Six months ago, dance was confined to four walls of my room only. Then I come to know about Dance classes by leading institute SDIPA i.e. Shiamak Davar Institute for Performing Arts. Well, the idea behind joining classes was to remove stage fear!!!!!!!!
But soon I realized, it’s just not a hobby, time pass…….it was a passion!!!! I had this opportunity of dance in my college only, but, again the same stage fear comes in between. I am sure many of us face the same fear. Two years, were over & I was still thinking of giving auditions. I hated it because I don’t have that much courage to go and perform. Dance confined within four walls is never judged. But AUDITIONS!!!!!!!!!
Auditions were a different ball game altogether. I even practiced a whole week before the audition. But standing outside the audition hall, only gave me jitters.
No no….no, I can’t perform. I quit!! The feeling of stepping back filled me with so much of remorse and I decided to at least I will give a try next time! Next time, I missed audition and my friends who were there and most importantly had that courage to perform were selected. And then...

Let it go...
Your life may be wonderful. It may be fantastic, terrific and all the other synonyms. But no matter, how good it may be, there comes a time in everybody's life when they see people changing and all they wanna do is stop the wheel of the time and do not let people to walk away from them.
Recently, I talked to a long lost friend of mine. Long, lost depends on how you define it. For me, she was one of those person I always talked to, shared everything with. But gradually we drifted apart and there was no contact for past year or two. Yes, there was a void but was aptly filled by many others as always the case. So, talking to her that night made me realized we all get hurt, miss some special people but in the end all of us move on. And sooner we learn how to let it go, sooner we are back in happy state of mind.
'Let it go' is the cult phrase. Its not easy to follow but it does indeed the bitter medicine that one needs to take. And as per the void that would be created, it would be filled sooner than you expected. Trust me on that. Its like how the air flow works. If there is a vacuum somewhere air would rush to fill it in from the smallest of gap. Similarly, for any void created by loss of a relationship would be filled by some other and the time taken would depend on the 'gap' and the depth of the void.
And as per my friend is concerned, that night we talked and talked. And promised to catch up on old times very soon. May be the old man who said, plant a green tree in your heart, and a singing bird would come, was not wrong.

Hosting with Google, Afghanistan Endgame, War over Corruption and a Flat Tyre
And yeah, the site went down for the first time in 3 years...!
Well, this blog post was to handle some serious issues. By this, I mean, I intended to talk about the endgame being planned for Afghanistan right now by the US and other nations including UK, Russia among others. And how Afghanistan is being used by different countries as a way to show their supremacy or for some selfish reason. The fact remains that the situation in Afghanistan is really critical right now and the decisions has to be taken very carefully.
Also, I wanted to talk about the 2nd innings of 'Satyagraha' in India, and how vague the idea sounds now. How in all these talks of the war between civil society and government, we are forgetting the main player, our nation. How it is being used by many as nothing but another way to shoot engines of money making machines. And how all these 'big' players are playing with emotions of super emotional Indians.
Also I wished to talk about the death of an artist. Death of an artist who was already murdered some six years ago. These are the things that are filling up the prime slot of all the major news channel, the pages of daily and my mind. And I would be coming forward with my point of view, my opinion over these topics soon.
Well among other reason (experiments with hosting), one another reason I did not write a full fledged argumentative passage is 'Flat Tyre'. Yeah, a flat tyre. I was in full mood to write up the post while I was returning home today. But I have not even driven a mile when I felt something odd, and saw this 'flat tyre'. Trust me, in scorching heat of Delhi, a flat tyre is not a nice sight. But nothing could be done now. The tyre was flat and it had to be changed. And when I ended up with the change of tyres, I was fully drenched in sweat and just wanted to lay down.
My opinion over the subjects I touched upon initially in the post would come soon and you may find it a touch critical or orthodox, whichever way you put it. But till then its a wrap up.

And the life goes on...
It has been nearly six months since that last dramatic post about how college life is gonna end. In these six months, a lot of things happened, many firsts, some fights, some love, some this, some that. But the most important thing, they all taught me one thing that nothing is constant. Everything, everyone and every relationship changes (especially relationship). Every relation has its highs and lows. It has its phases and most of them do get stagnant, though they could be relived..!
These six months were a pain, but also brought me close to some of the people, read friends. I also got to know, that there are many around here who don't like you for many reasons (some of them very genuine) but there are some who really like you for various reasons (again, many of them are really genuine..!!).
This time was also about various rules that I set up for myself, and though till the end of the semester, I had broken most of them. there was a rule, Family first. Then there was a rule, To hell with the world. there was one, getting serious and there was one, being punctual. Many of them, and all of them broken..!
This was also a time when various other things happened, like another blog, a portal, a college fest, a broken dream, a broken leg, a mission accomplished, a tag of winner, petty fights, many memories, many other rules, some experiments, a world cup and tonnes of exam (as usual), and all of these in last six months. All in all, some nice moments coupled with some nice people made it a nice time to live.
Yes, there was another rule, more of a realization, And the life goes on...
P.S.
And after all these things, here I am sitting trying to write a nice 'I am back' post and also know that am 'not' doing a very good job. But that's what I am. And with the promise of writing more often, I sign off.
During all these major happenings in my life in previous months, I started many a post but was not able to complete them and the pile of my draft increased a lot and I plan to publish them. So, don't be shock if I am here tomorrow telling you about how I celebrated this new year..!

How net run rate is calculated in cricket??
In the event of a team being all out in less than its full quota of overs, the calculation of its net run rate shall be based on the full quota of overs to which it would have been entitled and not on the number of overs in which the team was dismissed.
Note: Any play during a one over per side eliminator is excluded from these calculations.
Only those matches where results are achieved will count for the purpose of net run rate calculations. Where a match is abandoned, but a result is achieved under Duckworth/Lewis, for net run rate purposes, Team 1 will be accredited with Team 2's Par Score on abandonment off the same number of overs faced by Team 2. But where a match is concluded but with Duckworth/Lewis having been applied at an earlier point in the match, Team 1 will be accredited with 1 run less than the final Target Score for Team 2 off the total number of overs allocated to Team 2 to reach the target.
In circumstances where a match (and the points for such match) is awarded to a team as a result of the other team's refusal to play, either by the umpires in accordance with Law 21.3 (a)(ii) or in accordance with the provisions of the relevant event agreements signed by the participating teams, the net run rate of the defaulting team shall be affected in that the full 50 overs of the defaulting team‟s innings in such forfeited match shall be taken into account in calculating the average runs per over of the defaulting team over the course of the relevant portion of the competition. For the avoidance of doubt the runs scored and overs bowled in such forfeited match will not be taken into account when calculating the net run rate of the team to whom the match was awarded.

Patriotism
PATRIOTISM KNOWS NO LANGUAGE. We're a nation of 1.2 billion who speak over 20 languages. If we all love our language to the point of discriminating against others, our tongues will become the swords that'll divide this land. Let us, together, start a movement to celebrate our differences. Please give your opinion, on how we can spread the light of unity. Jai Hind!

Letter to God..!
Dear God,
I am an 83 year old widow, living on a very small pension. Yesterday someone stole my purse. It had £100 in it, which was all the money I had until my next pension check. Next Sunday is Christmas, and I had invited two of my friends over for dinner. Without that money, I have nothing to buy food with. I have no family to turn to, and you are my only hope. Can you please help me?
Sincerely, Edna

Coral Player
Coral Player is a scam, but not a virus. Basically the maker's create fake torrents - usually new release or popular movies. They claim to be avi files of the movie, and usually ~ 700mb or so.
However when you get the movie, all it is, is a trailer and tells you to go and download coral player. If you fall for it, it asks you to pay a small fee to use coral player but you gotta give them your credit card number, which they then charge a monthly fee of about $30 . But you never get any player to download, and the file that claims you need Coral Player to play it, isn't even a movie file at all - it's just a trailer with Coral Player ad.
